You’ve Got This

To all the parents who’s lives have been turned upside down. Who are trying to be teacher, comforter, cook, cleaner and playmate. Who are wondering how they will fill the days. Who are lost for words when trying to explain what’s happening to a small child or reason it to a teenager. Who are overwhelmed by homeschooling. Who are worried about their child’s health, education, mental wellbeing.

You’ve got this.

To all the workers. Trying to log on at home, around all kinds of chaos. To keep doing their jobs. To keep this economy running. Worrying if they will have a job to do tomorrow. If they will be able to pay their bills next month.

You’ve got this.

To all the business owners, self employed and freelancers. Who have closed their doors. Who are having their memberships cancelled. Who’s work has all dried up. Who’s site has closed. Who are worried about having a business or any work when all this is over. Who are trying to find new ways of providing their services to their customers. Online, through deliveries, in any way they can.

You’ve got this.

To all the high risk people self isolating, sometimes completely on their own. Who haven’t seen their loved ones already in weeks. Who are lonely. Who are scared to even leave the house. Who are struggling to even get a shop delivery.

You’ve got this.

To all the teachers. Who are walking into empty classrooms. Who are worried about their pupils in school and out of school. Who are madly creating resources, doing online classes, trying to keep our children safe and educated. Who are putting their own health at risk.

You’ve got this.

And last – but definitely (definitely) not least. To all the key workers. The amazing hospital and NHS staff, looking after us and putting themselves and their families at risk. To every key worker who is keeping this country running. Answering 111 calls. Driving trains. Policing our streets. Putting out fires. Putting their children in schools, so they can be there for us.

You’ve got this.

Because we’ve got you. We’ve got your back. We will get through this together. It will be tough. Much more so for some, than others. But just know, whatever you are struggling with, you are not alone. Others are going through it too. Be brave. Be strong. Be healthy. Because, YOU’VE GOT THIS!
